Apart from enrolling fresh graduates and post graduates from 28 provinces of China, School of Basic Medicine also enrolls international students from some South Asian countries (India, NepalPakistan and Bangladesh, etc.), some Southeast Asian countries (Viet Nam, Cambodia and Laos, etc.) for learning clinical medicine and medical laboratory as well.
Southeast Asian Students will accept Chinese training for at least one year first. After passing the prescribed Chinese exam, they can choose a specialty (clinical medicine or medical laboratory) for further learning according to their own interests. For Southeast Asian Students, all the medical courses will be taught only in Chinese and the administrative style of students’ affairs is exactly the same as Chinese students.
For South Asian students, their learning duration is five years and a half and all the medical courses will be taught in English. Some theory lectures are given by foreign teachers (English speaking teachers).
The international students can get Bachelor’s Degree of Medicine when they fulfill the prescribed requirement.
