A Successful Visit to Cambodia and Laos P.D.R.

Dali University signed mutual agreements with the National University of Laos and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, Cambodia in the year of 2003. Since then, the cooperation and exchange programs started and fruitful achievements are made. In the year of 2007, after friendly discussions, Dali University and Royal University of Phnom Penh launched the RUPP-DHY Chinese Center. The Center is the first offical one approved by the two governments in the Cambodian history, which offers Chinese language program and bachelor degree in Chinese language and literature.

During the visit to the National University of Laos, the delegation had meetings with the University’s officials, met the graduates from Dali University, and discussed with the teachers about the potential difficulties in running the Chinese Teaching Practice Base. The delegates also met the officials from the Chinese Embassy to Laos P.D.R.

The Minister of the Education, Youth and Sports, Cambodia, H.E. Hang Chuon Naron, met Vice President Duan Lihua and his delegates and renewed the Agreement between the two parties. H.E. Hang Chuon Naron highly praised the achievements made in the past years and expressed his gratitudes to the University.
